About
Applying should not be the hardest part of getting hired.
A good application takes about an hour. Read the posting properly, adjust the resumé so the relevant work is on the first page, write a cover letter that says something specific, then work through twenty screening questions that ask for the same information in a slightly different order.
Do that once and it is fine. Do it forty times a week, while working a job you are trying to leave, and the quality collapses — or you stop. Most people stop. The advice they get is to apply more, which is the one thing that is genuinely impossible.
JaloApply exists because the bottleneck is capacity, not ambition. So we took the repetitive part off the job seeker's desk and gave it to someone whose whole job it is.
What we deliberately did not do is automate it into a spray of generic submissions. That is a worse version of the problem: it fails, and it burns the candidate's name at the companies they care about most. A person prepares every application here, and nothing is sent that you have not seen if you asked to see it.
What we believe
Five things we will not compromise on.
01
Transparency over reassurance
Anyone can send a monthly summary that says things are going well. We show you the actual record — every application, every document version, every answer, timestamped and attributed. If a week was quiet, you will see that it was quiet.
02
A person, not a bot
Automated mass-applying does not work and it damages your name with the companies you most want to work for. Software finds the roles and keeps the record straight. A human decides what to apply to and writes what gets sent.
03
Nothing invented, ever
Every factual statement in an application comes from something you told us or a document you gave us. If a form asks something we do not know, the application waits and we ask you. There is no scenario in which we make something up to keep things moving.
04
You stay in charge
You choose whether to approve every application, some of them, or none. You can pause, revoke our authorization, or cancel. None of those require an email to a retention team.
05
Honest about outcomes
We do not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment, and we are suspicious of anyone who does. What we guarantee is the work: roles found, applications prepared carefully, submitted on time, and logged so you can check.
Who we are
JaloApply is operated by Gretchen & Hunter LLC, based in McLean, Virginia. We are a small team, deliberately — a specialist can only hold so many searches in their head before the work stops being careful, so we grow the team before we grow the roster.
We are not an employer, a recruiter, or a staffing agency. No company pays us to place you, which means our only incentive is the one you are paying for: applications that are worth reading.
Questions, complaints, or a request to see everything we hold about you — write to support@jaloapply.com. We acknowledge within three business days.
